Over the last several months, I’ve been working on various Certifications and Initiations in a range of modalities.

We will talk about that more in an “about” post or something like that, & today I want to talk more in depth about one of the Modalities I’m actively practicing and sharing with you: Money Reiki.

Over the weekend, I ran a poll on Instagram asking y’all what kind of intentions you wanted more of in our upcoming Spellbound Soap update and the overwhelming answer? 

🤑 Money. 🤑

If you’ve been with us for a while, you know that Money, Money Mindset and Money Magick has been one of the main pillars of content for TheHoodBotanica over the years.

Whether it was the original group spells, prosperity products or Currency Clarity Consultations,  What folks have been asking for — whether you knew it or not — was a type of wealth work that wasn’t rooted in just hustle, hard work, or another fast money spell.

More and more spiritual folks and “muggles” alike are realizing we’re tired of the hustle, rise and grind mentality.

If you’re reading this, you probably also want a relationship with Money that feels spiritual, real, doable, and energetically aligned.

And I get it. Because, I’m here with you  too. 

I’ve been “on the grind” since I was 15 years old I think? I’m 36 and after the last two years of laser focusing on the study of money, It is High time for a shift.

Let’s Address the Money Elephant in the “Room”

One of the wildest themes that REALLY CLICKED as I kept working with Money Reiki on myself is how many of us have been taught (subtly or directly) that money is unspiritual.

I’ve been unpacking the relationship between “spirituality” and money for a while now, because there was a specific time on social media where spiritual accounts called everything "low vibrational" and demonized any one even speaking on money.

It was very weird and I thought it was just me but a couple months ago I mentioned it on twitter and a few people agreed with me that it was weird on their tl too around the end of 2020-2021. 

And can I be honest? I allowed some of that rhetoric to make me steer away from talking about this publicly, but during the Money Reiki attunement process; I had to realize that that wasn't serving anyone, especially not me!

You’ve probably also heard some version of this:
“If you’re really spiritual, you shouldn’t care about money.”
“Rich people are greedy.”
“True healers should give their work away for free.”

But let’s zoom out for a second.

How many times have you watched someone not get the help they needed because a healer was burned out, underpaid, and unsupported?

How often does lack of money make you feel like your dreams have to sit on the back burner?

How many incredible, loving, generous people do you know who would do amazing things with more resources — if they didn’t feel guilty about having them, or have to BEG people on the timeline to help fund them?

How much good could YOU do in the World if you had the funding for your dreams? 

These are just some of the core wounds that Money Reiki helps us face.

Because yes, the economy is chaotic. Yes, inflation is real. 

But what’s also real is how deeply our subconscious absorbs those collective narratives. 

Even when things are going well, we can still operate from a place of fear, lack, or unworthiness.

And that energy keeps circulating and cycling, until we consciously interrupt it.

How I Found Money Reiki (Or How It Found Me)

When I initially got attuned to Money Reiki, I thought I was just adding another energy tool to my spiritual toolbox.

I already had years of experience with energy work, magick and ritual.

I decided to become a Reiki Master because quite honestly, “healing” isn’t something that was in my personal wheelhouse as a whole, and just being transparent, I had some family members transition and get sick over the years and I wanted to be able to help or assist, even if it was just energetically.

Money Reiki as a Revelation

Traditional Reiki can be used in a range of topics, including financial, and over time, traditional Reiki students and masters developed a system of Reiki that was specifically attuned to Money, not only to elevate and cleanse on an individual level, but also on a spiritual, more holistic and collective level.

Over the last few months, the more I practiced, the more I realized:
This wasn’t just about manifesting a quick bag.

Money Reiki showed me:

• Where I was still carrying shame around receiving.
• Where I was afraid of success.
• How certain habits and actions in the past led to some of the outcomes I was experiencing presently.
•  Where I had unknowingly inherited energetic gunk from parents, grandparents, my culture, environment, my lineage, and society at large.

During my recent (by surprise) move, It brought all of that to the surface. And surprisingly, all of these themes surfacing at the same time didn’t overwhelm me.  TBH it was like a very big AHA moment.

For instance, one of the things I’ve noticed is how much I accepted stuff from other people that I neither wanted or needed.

 No shade to anyone irl who has tried to help me out one way or another, but as I was purging the old apartment, I just kept asking myself “why did I say yes to taking this?”

I realized a lot of “hand me downs” were just things that OTHER people didn’t want bother with throwing away, so they basically just pushed it on me, and It made me feel and realize how much I was accepting out of a subconscious place of lack. 

Sometimes it was from people I didn’t even know who gave a thing to a friend then THEY gave it to me..DOUBLING DOWN ON the throw away energy.

And this is just ONE of the many themes I noticed as I was settling into My Reiki Master and Money Reiki grandmaster attunements.

and that had to GO. ✌🏾

What Money Reiki is and What it Isn’t

Let’s get into some more detail about this Modality"

Money Reiki isn’t just about “getting rich.”

It’s not going to suddenly drop a million dollars into your lap just because you get a session, attunement or Money Reiki product.

Contrary to what you may think, the initial intention behind Money Reiki is NOT to Manifest Money.

What it does do is work on your energetic system.

The initial idea behind Money Reiki was a way to remove energetic blocks that an individual may have to earning and manage money 

It was created to help cleanse the energetic & etheric body from thoughts, memories and traumas stored surrounding Money.

It works on clearing your aura, your subconscious stories, your spiritual body; to help you become clearer, stronger, and more open to receiving what’s meant for you.

After working the energy on myself during the 63 day attunement process, I realized that I had tapped into something greater than the healing of my Personal Money Energy.

I discovered the Spiritual Energy of Money.

The Spiritual Energy of Money is money in the Source vibration: full of love,
light and generosity.

It is the energy of pure money that exists on the spiritual plane. 

Again, I want to emphasize, Money Reiki isn’t just about calling in cash. (although that can be a beautiful side effect at the higher levels of Money Reiki) It’s about working with the energy of money on a spiritual & energetic level.

We're tuning into Money Energy to help heal not only our personal relationship with money, but also the collective, public energy around it.

The ultimate Goal is To align our personal money stories and the Collective Consciousness with the Spiritual Energy of Money.

Now, this spiritual energy is not the same thing as society’s mindset around money.

We don't have to look too hard to see that the social money consciousness is rooted in hustle, fear, lack, and chasing status.
 

The True Spiritual Energy of Money is Divine.

It’s money in its purest, highest vibration.

The kind that flows straight from Source, untouched by greed or ego.

When you start tapping into the Spiritual Energy of Money, a few powerful things start to shift:

1. You kau feel called to earn in ways that feel aligned & in ways that support your highest good and uplift others, too.
   
   

2. You naturally move into a more ethical, conscious way of spending and receiving.
   
   

3. You embrace TRUE abundance, not just for yourself, but for the collective. That means food, shelter, safety, and dignity for everyone.
   
   

4. You stop mixing up material success with spiritual growth. You start to see money as a tool, not the measure of your soul’s evolution or your worth.
   
   

5. You’ll even notice that bigger systems like businesses, institutions, maybe even governments will start evolving when we all shift into this frequency. 

That’s the power of Money Reiki. It helps heal & cleanse the chaotic, conditioned money energy we’ve absorbed from society and brings it back into alignment with something sacred.

The Real Beauty is that when you work with this Reiki, you’re not just healing your own money wounds; You’re sending ripples of change out into the world.

Your healing becomes collective healing.

Some folks feel shifts immediately. For others, it takes time.

The key, as with almost anything else is Consistent practice and taking aligned action. 

Consider it spiritual and energetic maintenance for your money story/relationship/journey.

Reframing Money as Energy, Not Enemy

Here’s the what most of you reading already know:

Everything is energy. Everything.

Your health, your relationships, your opportunities — and yes, your money.

Your energy system is like the operating software of your life. When it's running smoothly, everything works better. But when it’s clogged with stress, trauma, or beliefs that no longer serve you, it throws everything off balance.

That includes your finances.

Money Reiki helps recalibrate that system; especially around how you think about, receive, and interact with money.

Not just for your own bank account, but for the collective.

Because here’s the thing nobody tells you in your average manifestation post:

The energy of money on this planet is not neutral. It’s been distorted by centuries of greed, violence, and inequality.

 A lot of people feel that in their bones. That inner tug when someone says “money is just energy,” and your spirit goes, “...Is it though?”

That’s not your ego. That’s your conscience speaking.

Imagine a world where every person had enough.

Where money circulated in ways that uplifted people and dismantled oppression.
That’s what we’re working toward when we tap into this energy.

And what makes Money Reiki different?

Money Magick vs Money Reiki

I can’t speak for others, but When we work Money Magic, spellwork etc, we are working on manipulating forces of nature, whether that's herbs, planets or what have you to put us in the best position to receive Money from wherever you call Source.

Most of us have noticed though, that the spellwork should be somewhat continuous to keep the flow coming in; and tbh yall, that’s mostly because of the work that needs to be done within US that keeps us coming back to this spell or that one.

You’ve been blowing the cinnamon on the first, taking the baths, keeping bayleaf in your wallet, and saving the last drop of that prosperity soap oil, but as we know;

As it is Above, so it is Below, as it is within, so it is without.

With Money Reiki we are working FROM WITHIN to clear pent up/built up MUCK surrounding money that we may have adopted from our parents, negative experiences with Money, and (on the Grandmaster level) even Hexes, Curses, Past life and Ancestral themes/Karma surrounding Money! 

Fusing the Magick and Reiki together feels like a transformation from the inside out; we cleanse our Aura, Chakras, Body etc then we can apply the Magick for all of the “outside” factors we may be dealing with.

We can’t shift the system overnight. But we can shift how we move through it.
We can stop internalizing shame.
We can start relating to money from a place of power and clarity.
We can stop recycling the same generational fears and limitations.
We can, and must, begin to heal.

You’re sending a ripple out into the collective.
You’re saying, “I believe in a world where abundance doesn’t come at the cost of someone else’s suffering.”
